Neurological conditions and their treatment
Neurological Physiotherapy is a specialist branch of Physiotherapy. I have experience in the assessment and treatment of people with a variety of neurological conditions from the time of diagnosis onward. I recognise that there are many and varied challenges at different times, and are able to support you with changing needs as they arise.
Neurological conditions affect many aspects and can have a profound impact on the lives of individuals. However, research in to how the brain is able to adapt and change is very encouraging:
“Our minds have the incredible capacity to both alter the strength of connections among neurons, essentially rewiring them, and create entirely new pathways.” (Susannah Calahan, 2012, Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness)
I offer treatments and management of a range of neurological conditions such as:
- Spinal cord injury (SCI)
- Guillain-Barré Syndrome
- Cerebral palsy

“I cannot express how good it is to have found you. I never knew about Neuro physio. It’s superb. I found the session with you so helpful both in talking through my MS symptoms and in your knowledge and reassurance and encouragement of making subtle changes.
I am thrilled. It has given me such a surge of energy and positivity. Thank you.”
